Justice of the Peace  -  Juris Doctor  -  Loving Husband

MEET ALEX BALL

Protecting the constitutional rights of everyone is my passion. During the past seven years, I’ve served in our federal courts to deliver justice in Pima County. I am running for Justice of the Peace to continue that mission.

I’ve always been interested in public service and learning about, well, everything; especially the law. One of my favorite children’s book growing-up was “Shh! We’re Writing the Constitution” -- just your classic tale of the Founders writing the U.S. Constitution in the summer of 1787.

In 2002, my family moved to Pima County, and I'm proud to call it home. I went to high school here, volunteered at the local library and soup kitchens, and spent summers at the Public Defender's Office. I also competed on my school’s basketball and debate teams.

I graduated college with a degree in economics while also working as a manager for the basketball team. After college, I continued my studies and earned a Masters of Business Administration. Eventually, my passion for learning led me to law school in Washington, DC.

In our Nation’s capital, I was privileged to study alongside many bright and compassionate people who also cared very deeply about human rights. At law school, I took on various leadership roles, founded a club that studied the origins of the constitution, and graduated as a pro bono pledge honoree (that is, I completed over 50 hours of volunteer work while in school).

But Pima County is my home. So after graduation, I moved back to take a job at our local Tucson federal courthouse. Since then I've worked closely with multiple judges to help resolve complex cases and administer justice in our community.

I look forward to serving as your next Justice of the Peace.

Thank you so much for your support!
